vegetation has change from rain forest to alpine and the scenery has
changed from valleys to mountains the views are breath taking literary
as the air is getting thin, its less ups and downs just ups, by the
9th day we are at 4000m well above the tree line and walking in snow. Its
bloody cold at night as we curl up in our sleeping bags to the smell
of yak shit on the fire, as there's no wood this hight every thing is
cooked with yak shit too . We had two days off to acclimatise and meet up
with some Israelis going the same way, they invited us to there new
years eve party, great we thought booze and mistletoe. It turned out to
involve eating apple and honey and going to bed early, but it was fun
anyway. We are going to stick together going over the pass to make
sure every one gets over safely .
