Good Friday & Easter Saturday - Golf in Arizona - Left Deming,NM on Good Friday (in all, my journey through New Mexico totalled approx. 170 miles of desert and not much more!)  However,  I did spend a few hours in Tombstone, home of Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday etc. and films such as "Gunfight at the OK Corral". (It felt a little false, the "original" town has been converted into gift & souvenir shops) It would have been much more believable if they had left the old town as a museum with tourists shops somewhere else. Consequently, I didn't feel like taking a horse ride round the town or watching a re-enactment of the "gunfight"  - I guess I'm too sceptical.

I arrived in Tuscon AZ, about 4pm and left at 7pm completely confused. I couldn't find a map which combined RV sites with Golf Courses and ended up driving round in circles. In the end I had to leave coz my frustration was getting the better of me. I found an RV site just stayed outside Tuscon, under the "Peak of Pachico", which is currently under threat of a rail yard! (whatever that means).

Saturday - Early morning swim and then golf at "Francisco Grande Resort" - sounds better than it was. But I'd had enough of driving 6 hours a day and needed to get some mountain air. (which is why it's hot during the day and cold at night - I discovered that for the past 2 days I've been at over 4500ft above sea level, another reason why my "hooks" go 280!)
Proceeded to Phoenix and eventually found this amazing RV site in the "Fountain Hills" region of  Phoenix. I've prepaid for 7 nights, so that I can play my desert golf ambition. If the campsite is anything to go by, the golf should be incredible. I intend to post my daily scores but only to the golfers amongst you.(But if there is something you non-golfers might find interesting I'll let you know!)
PS: currently @ 5612 miles and still no wing mirror!
