Unfortunately as we arrived here the heavens had been left open, making pitching a tent a bit of a nightmare, luckily our pitch was free from standing water and the rain subsided just long enough for us to put our tent up.

After an exhausting couple of days we spent our time relaxing on the beach, for the first time since early February on Thailand. The beach and sea here is definitely recommended, turquoise sea lined with unspoilt beaches, this is easily the most beautiful coast line that we've seen so far.

We grabbed our snorkel gear and decided to test the waters. The first thing Mel spots is a small sting ray, which then freaked us out a little as we could have easily stood on it and who knows what would happen. Mel also freaks out about stuff hanging around her feet, generally her ploy is to jump on my back or hang her arms around my neck and make me carry her in until shes in at a swimable depth. She also trys to make me do this when its too cold and shes not ready to go in. I think she thinks its cute but i'm not sure a 28 year old can get away with this. Memories of Palawan return.

After contending with the stingray we started walking through the water. The water was shallow so there was no chance of swimming for a bit which made Mel nervous as our feet wandered through the sand with the unknown hiding in the sea bed. Our next encounter were some over friendly Emperor fish, which i believe are used to being fed, which is why they looked fearsome and gathered around us in there little packs like scrounging Mutts. This freaked out my little princess, so being the prince charming that she wanted me to be, she quickly jumped up onto my back and i waded out to swimable waters... Such fun to be me.......

The rest of our beachside adventures were relatively laid back - meaning we sun bathed, then grabbed fish & chips and headed back to the tent before the rain came in again.
