! We had late lunch in Seaside...Bud and Alley's Pizza....a mere $50.00 pizza. It was good but a glass of wine and 11" pizza for 50 bucks is a bit much. Still was the cutest place. Although some guy was sitting next to us offered me his jacket cause he said I looked chilly. As he was sitting there with 2 other people he proceeded to tell the waiter he was friends with the owner and then called him on the cell phone!!!! Needless to say he made a little show...and the person with him said I guess it is hard when you go places and people want your autograph...have no idea who he was but he could have been anyone and I would have never known the difference. We are staying here at the state park until Friday morning. The only thing is tomorrow we have to change sites to across the street. They only had site 44 for 1 night and 45 for 2 nights otherwise they were booked....but no big deal. The park ranger said we can move as soon as the other site is empty and just come up to register and get a new pass for the car...should not be any problems.
Started out early today 9:00 am on SR 27 all the way to the interstate I10. You really see somethings on the road...got a good laugh from seeing a fancy high dollar motor home towing a farm tractor. Good roads and not too much traffic today. We crossed into a different time zone around noon...on central time now. We gained an hour and did not even have daylight savings. Arrived here at Grayton Beach State Park around 2:00 pm. I was pleasantly surprised at the campground very nice and the section we are in is brand new. Great paved roads and large stone full hook up sites. We are on the beach...a little windy and cool today but no rain!!!! Lots of sunshine, but not a good sitting on the beach day! We drove a short distance down the road into Grayton Beach...a small hippie type town. Grayton Beach is a few blocks with couple of stores and bars, but very charming in its own way. Went back the other way to Watercolor and Seaside....this is like the Stone Harbor area at home. Looked at real estate books home start at the 1 million mark...guess it is a little out of my range!!!
