Up early with everything packed to go to Las Vegas.  The trip was 5.5 hours however we gained 3 hours and arrived in Las Vegas just after 1pm.  The airport was very clean and efficient and we were soon on our way to the Wynn.  As our room wasn't ready until 5pm they upgraded us and the room and the hotel is absolutely superb.  We are on Las Vegas Boulevard - the strip - and it is really extraordinary.  Las Vegas is very clean and spacious, surrounded by red mountains in the distance.  It is a much bigger place than I thought and at night the street lights fade into the distance.  The Wynn - like all the casinos - is geared to keep you in house and near the casino tables, so the food, surroundings and shops are magnificent all within the one complex.  We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Wynn which was excellent and then went to the Bellagio for the show "O" which is a Cirque du  Soleil production.  The acrobatics, diving, balancing was amazing - you didn't know where to look as so much was happening.  It was creative, entertaining and unbelievable all at the same time.  An awesome introduction to Las Vegas.
