We were up early to make sure we saw as much of the "Rockies" as possible. Lucky for us the train had not caught up time during the night and we were able to see a lot of the country from Blue River and Valemount in British Columbia. Mt Robson was a highlight as we passed by for about 16 kms. The train stopped at Jasper (Alberta) and we were able to have a small walk around. We saw 2 moose standing in a lake eating the new shoots, a group of 6 wild sheep and a bear in the distance. The countryside was pretty with the distant mountains with snow, rivers and lakes and the changing foliage. We continued through Alberta, stopping on the outskirts of Edmonton (the capital) just on dusk. Had Halibut for dinner - better cooked than on the cruise but not as nice as sablefish (black cod). During the night we passed through the province of Saskatchewan.
