Today we walked around and through the famous hotel - "The Empress", sorry we didn't have enough time to have something to eat - it is famous for its "High Tea" (afternoon tea.), however we had to catch the float plane back to Vancouver.  Back in Vancouver, we caught a taxi to the railway station to board "The Canadian".  It was late boarding and therefore leaving - 3 engines, 30 carriages.  We found our little space for the next few days and sat in the dome car and watched as we followed the Fraser River upstream to cross Canada from West to East to Toronto- 4,456 kms.  Had sablefish for dinner which is very nice - soft and oily
