Well sadly it was time to say goodbye to Francis and David and our time in Wales.  Llanfair Caereinion is a small town, a typical Welsh village with 3 pubs, fish and chip shop, a post office, newsagent, service station and doctor.  The streets are typically narrow and winding and you hope and pray you don't meet someone coming the opposite way.  We drove from Llanfair Caereinion through Welshpool into England to Shrewsbury into Buckingham to visit my second cousin, Jayne.  Along the way we noticed the fields in England were larger, growing more wheat.  The countryside is not as hilly and not as pretty.  In Wales as well as in England, the hedges were not as manicured as we had both remembered, but on enquiring, we were told that these days, farmers can't cut the hedges until a certain time of year because of the birdlife.  If they do cut the hedge then they will loose their funding from the government.  The houses too are different some with thatched rooves.  When we were getting diesel at the garage, I was amazed to see a young fellow buying a bottle of coke and a bottle of vodka from the garage - can't do that in Australia!  We arrived at Steve and Jayne's at about 4pm and were made very welcome, having dinner at an Italian restaurant in Buckingham.
