Hi Everyone!
Well, we made it safe and sound! We arrived around 6:00 am on Monday, 10/15 in Sydney. The flights went well, but I'm concerned that the boys are now totally spoiled by red carpet clubs (free candy bars) and business class treatment. I have a feeling that they'll be expecting warm, wet towels to wash their hands before dinner tonight! They'll have a rude awakening when we fly back economy class!
We had a great first day. After getting settled in our temporary residence, we went to Sydney Harbour with a buddy from Jim's work, Chris. We had a drink and appetizers at the Sydney Harbour Bar...the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera House on the other. A pretty incredible sight. It was about 80 degrees and sunny. Couldn't have been nicer
Yesterday, the boys awoke at 5:00 or so and we spent some time later at the pool...it was about 90 degrees. We went to Jim's work to meet some folks and then out for Italian food, where the boys once again fell asleep at the table! We're staying in for dinner tonight!
Otherwise, we're just getting settled in our place. Thankfully, there's a huge mall (shopping centre, as they call it) across the street, so we have everything we need, including groceries, at our fingertips. We'll start the house hunt next week.
Thanks to all of you for your support and words of encouragement leading up to this point. We're so glad to be a family again and starting the adventure. Stay tuned for more and please, keep the e-mails coming!

Appetizers & drinks from the Opera House Bar
. We walked around a bit and then headed toward Bondi Beach, but Sam was feeling the effects of the sun, heat, jet lag...and perhaps the 6 Red Bulls he had. I didn't realize that you're only supposed to have 2 of those a day!!! Anyway, we scrapped that and went back to our hotel. The boys crashed hard at about 7:00 and we woke them up to go to dinner, but they literally fell asleep at the table. So the jet lag is hitting them hard.Yesterday, the boys awoke at 5:00 or so and we spent some time later at the pool...it was about 90 degrees. Hi Barb!
I love the pictures, it's great you're all together again, and it looks like everyone is enjoying Australia living. It will be nice to have two summers back to back. As much as I enjoy Fall, it won't be long before we see snow up here. Enjoy the adventure!

5 Red Bulls
Hey, my brother was drinking several of those a day and his doctor found he was having real issues with his liver. (They told him to quit drinking booze! He doesn't drink at all and hadn't for 7 years, so he was pretty put off of Energy drinks!) For someone of Max's size and age, I'd limit to 2 per week!
I'm so glad you are safe and sound. I love all your pictures and can't wait to experience the next two years with you and your family.
Love,
Crae
Looking forward to the Glore's adventure
Hi Barb! It's Maureen Kahn. MaryAnn sent the link to the blog and I really enjoyed the pictures and comments. I look forward to hearing and seeing everything you guys experienced. Glad that you are all together again. The boys look like little Aussies already!!!!!
Yep, glad to hear you're there safe! =)
Hi Barb and Family-
I've been out of communication the last week. Just got a look/see at the photos and blog. Isn't Oz just grand? Let me know when you go on the Sydney bridge climb. That was one of my favorite spots in Sydney. Take lots of photos.
XOXOXO,
Beeka =)
