I can't even begin to express how anxious I am to board my plane and cross the Pacific, beginning my 3 month journey where I will become more enlightened and gain more independence. I am experiencing such mixed emotions, being scared yet thrilled at the same time. Or perhaps it is the scary part that makes it so thrilling and exciting! The thought of arriving in an unfamiliar country and having to rely on my language skills is certainly a craving of mine.

For the past week I have endured some of the worst nerves I have ever experienced in my life from all the anticipation. I have had symptoms ranging anywhere from dizziness to stomach pain. Not too many people can say that they've lived in a foreign country for 3 months, so I am a little wary of what to expect. Perhaps by the time I get settled in to my hostel all my nerves will diminish and I can focus on getting comfortable with my surroundings. It looks as though I will have endless amount of interesting things to do and sites to see, so I will want to be in the best shape I can!

Here is where I will be living (It is in the building with the "Jojo" sign) :,+New+Taipei+City,+Taiwan&gl=us&ll=25.012946,121.515331&spn=0.000812,0.001635&t=h&z=20&vpsrc=6&layer=c&cbll=25.012949,121.515333&panoid=L9ErV8oA64iYokj_eJQeRw&cbp=12,314.34,,0,-2.88

First step: Indy to L.A. - So excited!

Have an awesome trip. It should be a terrific learning experience -- both in and out of the classroom. We're proud of you!

Hey, you have a Pizza Hut and a McDonalds down the street! You will have to let us know how they differ from their U.S. counterparts.
