Up early and on our way to Manu National Park with Manu Ecological Adventures, Cuzco. From our research in Australia Inka Natura offered the best Manu jungle trip. We contacted them when we arrived and they offered us a birdoing and wildlife trip for 8 days forthe two of us. They tended to cater for the small numbers. However, for this time of the year certain parts of the tour may not be possible.
We then went to the next best that we had and that was Manu Ecological Adventures and this outfit offered us an 8 day tour that seemed to be just as good.
Today has been an absolutely boring day. It was raining. .
This is pretty well all we got for this day. There was no music and no radio and the guide probably gave about a 20 minute commentary along the way.
We had five in our group and they had another two from another company travelling with us to another site. .
To make matters worse, our bags were on top and the pesron/s responsible for tying down the pastic sheet obviously did not cover them appropriately and our bags got wet, something one does not want when there is 100% humidity in the jungle. The meals however were good.
