Day 7 in Hua Hin, leave for Bangkok Airport

This is a quick update mainly for any worried family members. I am writing this from the Qantas Club at Bankok airport. We have arrived back here safe and sound and waiting to board the flight to London in about an hours time. It is 11.10pm Bangkok time, and we have spent most of the last 5 or so hours checking out of the resort, catching the bus from Hua Hin to Bangkok (approx 200klm for 160 Baht per person, or about $5.80AUD) then a taxi from the bus stop to the airport. The taxi ride was 40+ mins (say Caulfield to Tullamaine), and 150 Baht on the meter, you do the math. I know when I do the trip in Melb it costs near $60AUD!
Have had a shower and a clean up and ready for our 12 hour Qantas flight to London, then 90 min delay before boarding flight to Manchester on British Airways. Alan is to meet us there so cannot wait!
We mostly just packed and did some errands today in Hua Hin, although we found time to wander down the beach and have a delicious seafood meal on the sand under the Golden Buddha.
