Itacare is a little further up the coast (about 5 hours) and is very similar to Trancoso only a little livlier and it's more of a surfer town. Again we got a top place to stay and for the same price. This place was just like a chalet that all four of us could stay in and allowed us to cook our own food and have people round for drinks which we need to do more of now because money is running low.

Again we just chilled out and ventured around some of the nearby beaches. The second day we were there though was Steve's birthday so I agreed to do an all dayer with him. Vikki and Jade sat reading on the beach while me and Steve sat and had a few beers in one of the beach bars. We then went back to the chalet to meet 2 other travellers Steve knew from Argentina that we bumped into and have a few more beers and cook some food. Getting on now and feeling more than a little drunk we headed to the local cocktail bar. The bar serves cocktails outide on the street as is common for Brazil and the drinks are more a spirit of choice served with a freshly squeezed juice, namely mango, passion fruit, lime, fresh orange etc. We all ordered something nice and asked steve what he wanted, to which he responded 'strong', that's it. I'm not sure what he got but it must have been potent because a few drinks later we were dropping the girls off at home and heading to the local samba club to bust some shapes. Steve was loving it and I shook my arse a bit but was struggling to keep pace. Eventually we called it a night and walked back and Steve thought we were being followed to which I threatened to hic-up on the perpatrators, as this was my current state. When we got back I noisily got in bed only to wake up and do my usual trick of throwing up when I drink too much! Sweet. I felt terrible the next day and couldn't even make it to the beach.

Itacare was another top spot, great beaches, great local feel and Vikki got to see some capoera as well which is an african dance form that she loves and it was in a really raw kind of environment. All good.
