From Santiago we´ve headed south and into North Patagonia on the Chilean side to a small town called Pucon. We did our first overnight bus ride which took about 10 hours so arrived tired, again! The Hostel was amazing. Really small (max 10 people) and really well run by a local chilean guy who loves Ibiza, notably DC10, Cocoon, Manusmission and Space, so had a chat with him about clubbing and the 3 months he spent there once summer.
Pucon is overlooked by a live volcano and on the day we arrived the sky was clear and the volcano had just had a dusting of snow on it so it looking really spectacluar against the blue skies. We spent 3 nights here just chilling out and went on a tour of the area to see local rivers and spent the evening having a soak in a natural hot spring of the volcano. Me and Paul who we´re now travelling with also thought it would be a good idea one night to drink 2 bottles of wine (80p a bottle) and full bottle of Havana Club rum (4 quid a bottle) and shout from the balcony in only our boxer shorts! Needless to say the residents were not most impressed. If your lucky I might put some pictures up!
