Hello again! In Auckalnd now sat around in our hostel waiting to leave to fly to SA later today! 13 hour flight.............can't wait!
The rest of New Zealand has been as good as the previous parts really. After Wellington was Taupo, New Zealands biggest lake with the town boardering it. We had hoped whilst here to do the Tongariro crossing which goes past mount doom as mentioned in an earlier entry but the winds were too high and the walks were cancelled for 3 days and we had to move on so we gave it a miss unfortunately and decided instead to go to Rotorua further up the middle of the North Island.
We had also planned to go and stay with Jill and Jason, our African travel buddies but we'd booked on to go caving further on and had a pretty tight deadline to keep to and due to where they live we couldn't fit it in.......sorry guys. Dissappointed about that as well so not a great start to the North Island really!
