Just a quick entry today coz not really done much exciting stuff yet in Perth but I know you're all little eager beavers and want to know what the beef is, so here we go.
Perth is pretty cool, bit like any other big city really, loads of things to do etc. We've been in a hostel for the last 4 nights in a dorm and to be honest, in comparison to the ones we stayed in in Africa, it's pretty shit. It's got a funny smell, hardly any decent kitchen utensils (Drakey, you'd be disgusted at the state of the knives!) and it's full of drunk loud people who are OK but it's not somewhere we want to be living for the next 3 months. As a result and because of our prolonged stay here we've been hunting for both jobs and accomodation since we got here. First step, work! We have both got bar work in a the same place in a bar/gig venue in Northbridge, which is pretty much the city centre but just over the railway bridge. For those of you that have been/lived here it's called the Elephant and Wheelbarrow and is a British themed place. It's bad having to work but we're trying to see it as part of the whole travelling experience and for $22 (about a tenner) an hour, it's worth a pop. We start tomorrow at 4pm and have to wear waist coats so wish us luck!
Accomodation proved a little more difficult. All the hostels are full, hotels are too expensive and most apartments want you to sign up for 6 months, when you can get them. We resorted to checking notice boards for house shares and came accross one right near work which was available at the same price as the hostel (per week) and it's a beaut! Moved in today and should be here to till just after new year. Not met our house sharers (all couples) yet but we think we've got the ability to get along with most and are thus hopeful of a positive result.
Will let you know when somehting more exciting happens.

Hello you two, heres my first ever comment and im really sorry about that! Ive been so busy at school that ive not had chance, but the thing is im gonna be bust for ever so im gonna have to scrap that excuse!!
