So apparently the baby milk crisis has now caused massive recalls on things that are not just for babies.

My one friend who works at the consulate said that there is a new list of recalled items which include M&Ms (which I have had a bag of) Snickers bars, a multitude of ice cream bar type things (I've had one of those plus multiple milkshakes since being here... china is a big ice cream country), Oreo cookie bars (which my roommate Caitlin is freaking out about eating a multitude of yesterday) and other things I can't remember. I don't have access to the list at the moment.

I personally think that they are covering their ass now based on all the public outcry and unless I have eaten only these contaminated things since arriving a month ago (a month ago?!?) I shouldn't have any problem. I think that the babies and toddlers are more susceptible to the kidney stones since they are little, but still I am going to be staying away from dairy for awhile (which makes me very unhappy because I really wanted a milkshake today.)

Ok the list for my future reference:

m&ms
snickers
mentos yogurt bottle
dove choco
oreo wafer sticks
mon milk
dutch lady sterilized milk
walls all natural mango
mini poppers ice cream
magnum ic
moos sandwich ic
mini cornetto ucan ice cream

Milk Substitute
Kind of reminds me of a Little Rascals episode.
'Don't drink the milk!'
'Why?'
'It's spoiled!'
This goes to show you that consuming 'natural' beverages can only cause problems and compromise your good health. My recommendation is to follow the example of American college students everywhere by only drinking alcoholic beverages. The higher the alcohol content, the better, as this will kill anything that tries to live in it. Or in you. This will ensure your health and vitality while traveling abroad. Just trying to help.

Love,

FFU
