So what its like in San D?

Its like Home and Away, the crappy 5 o'clock filler on ITV. Crossed with Point Break and Bill and Ted movies. Anyway. Its sweet here. I'll fit in. Just need to remember where I put my dreadlocks....

Spent the first night meeting all of Pauls mates. ALL OF THEM. Apparently San Diego has been hearing of my arrival for the last 6 months. I can picture the whole town on there knees bowing in anticipation. Ha Ha. Went to Pauls local, the Twisted Stick. All I can say is we both like drinking in shithole pubs. It was cool. Spent the night talking about my englishness, the US, GW Bush, travelling, NY, woman etc etc. It was a good night. Though the cider here is REALLY weak and VERY expensive. Wait for it............but .......I ......drank......beer instead!!!! HA HA

Since then I have just been wandering around. Ellis works in a jewelry shop in downtown San D. He's doing 10 -15 hrs per day, so I'm gonna be spending most of my time here on my own, barring the evenings. I mean I can hang out with all his buds, but i don't mind just wandering around, doing my own shit.

This place is kinda like a cross between the med, some Aussie surfer town and Jamaica (don't ask). San Diego is made up predominantly of beach towns and a downtown. I live in the best part (apparently, but not surprisingly) I'm in Ocean Beach. Its the chilled out part of San D. Other parts are Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Downtown and Old Town. I'm gonna be here for ages, so i'm not in a hurry to see it all in a week. There won't be any massive walks like in New York. Feet have officially gone back home to England.

Will write again, once I have done some more crazy ass stuff. Anyway, the beach has my name on it
