Hello all.

What have I been up to recently? Went to the Guggenheim Museum. Awesome looking building with crazy spiral design on the inside. Went and had a look around. Loads of famous stuff from artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, Degas, Munch, Mastisse, Man Ray, Mondrian, etc etc. Was all very cool. Would explain the $15 entry fee. Ouch!! Had some other exhibit running throughout the building regarding hands. I actually preferred all of this stuff over the classic stuff. Go Figure!! Also went to Brooklyn, trying to find a sodding hotel to stay in. All the ones which I have on the listing have been and gone, so for now, I am stuck where i am. Its ok i suppose, but I wanted to find somewhere cheaper and closer to the airport.

Spent another day wandering around Central Park doing a bit of drawing, writing lymerics, lyrics and general sitting in the park. I spent all day looking for the infamous 'Poets Walk'. Its like a famous stretch of walkway which is in loads of films and is in paintings being sold all around the park. It is down on the park map as The Mall, so I spent all day wandering around the park (and it is a massive park - miles in length) trying to find this sodding place. Do you think I could find it? Could I hell!! It took seven hrs and nearing the evening before I found it. I was well chuffed to say the least. Your probably not impressed, but it put a smile on my face. Noticed that all of the animals in the park are well tame. I've practically had squirrels running around my feet. Its crazy. Watched this really cool 4-piece jazzing away in the park. They were really good to watch.

and Yes, today is my birthday and making its first appearance is 27.
I spent the day with Caroline and her flatmate Becca. Met in Grand Central Station (x-men film 1) which was cool, apparently a few years ago, it looked like a shithole, but they've done it all up and it looks well swell. Very grand.

Got the subway to Queens to go to Musuem of Modern Art. I had been told it was good. It was. Again there was loads of Picasso, Mondrian, Van Gogh etc etc, but loads of cool freaky modern stuff as well. Sat down watching cool video art with these two wierd blokes doing crazy shit in boxes(not ACTUALLY shitting though). After that, took a walk to PS1 (another Art exhibit). This was one also cool, I prefered it to just paintings. It had loads of random sketchbook stuff and soem great sculpture 'wave canopy' thing outside. Top Banana!! Spent the rest of the day at Carolines with Becca, as they made pizza and birthday cake for me. I was kinda outgunned being 2 against 1. They even drew phalic objects on my cake. Not through my choice, honest mum!! . Spent most of the evening watching Sleepy Hollow and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and chatting about other random shit, receiving more 'your a stupid englishman' abuse, looking at Becca's artwork. They have a cool pad, very arty. Becca's parrot decided to decorate my t-shirt with his own kind of art. Er....thanks polly!! Its a cool parrot though, so i'll let it lie. All in all, it was a top evening. Didn't get to bed till 5 as I had to get to the other side of the world to get back to my dorm.

That sucked. Apart from that? A sweet day
