Hi family/friends and random net surfers

I know it seems a little early to be starting this travelogue as I'm not going for 4 months, but I figure as its New Years, time of reflection and stuff like that, why not.

I've always been one of those blokes that has looked at the telly when 'Holiday' was on or 'Pole to Pole' with Michael Palin, and thought "Cool" But I never thought I'd go. When I first met my current boss, he had just come back from his second trip travelling the globe. That was over 3 years ago. All of his stories just fueled my desire to go (I just never told him), along with some other mates going travelling/eloping to other countries and reading of other peoples travels on the net. I didn't realise it was so easy.

At first, I just wanted to go to Fiji (got the idea of Red Dwarf) and the rest has just kinda grown from there, saving more and forever changing dates/destinations and money needed, thus always delaying the trip. Also the fact that I have no girlfriend, mortgage ties and that I'm fed up with various other things make this an ideal time to go.

So.......I'm now the owner of a travelling ticket, courtesy of a xmas present from my Dad (thanks for that dad). Will be leaving at the end of April towards India and travelling around to Mexico before coming back home, though that thought is quite depressing, so I may have to fix that on my way around, with some miracle job or something. I do have a rough route to follow, but's more of a guide, just to ensure that I make it out of Heathrow.

I guess thats all for now. I still have copious amounts to do, even though its miles away yet, but the ball is set in motion.

If anyone has anything they wanna say, feel free to email.
