First, we love Romania.
It's a very beautiful country (lots of rolling green hills, mountains and farms) that we've seen a lot of from the windows of trains from the Serbian border to Bucurest, north to Brasov and now west to Sibiu.
Sibiu (population ~160,000) is currently holding its 17th annual music festival, which we've gotten to see a very small part of.  Today, we spent several hours (pretty sure that's at least three) parked in cafe/bar chairs on the plaza outdoors (beautiful setting), listening to some music and watching the faces (and maybe the styles too) of this part of Romania.
Attached are some of the faces that crossed in front of us today.  No offense intended to these victims of the cameo lens.  Hey, we're traveling with backpacks and wear almost the same thing every day!

For a sampling of one of the more entertaining bands we saw, watch these short video clips;
Sibiu "Bang On" band #1;
Sibiu "Bang On" band #2;

They are not "real" Romanian, as the duo is from England - but they made it to this music festival.  The band is called Bang On.  They've got some serious musical background (check their web site www.bangon.net), but they play on junk!  It was very fun, and catchy to listen to - two days in a row.

Bye for now, from Romania!
