We're not rushing to leave today because we have the whole week ahead of us here in Oahu. We went to Lazy J for our last breakfast. We will be missing this hearty breakfast for sure. We ate DS birthday cake. It was good. It's different from the cake in the birthday package that we received on embarkation.  After breakfast we went straight to the gangway. We were about to hand in our ship's card for the last swipe when DD2 remembered that she left her Del Sol ID holder with her Junior Ranger badges at the back door of our room including the one she received from Cruise Critic Members, Al and Deb during our "Meet and Greet". DH went upstairs to retrieve it.

One thing I like about NCL's disembarkation is the way they organized it; very smooth and in orderly fashion. They were giving out cookies as everybody leaves. We disembarked in Pier 10. We picked up our suitcases and left the pier. We crossed the street to the waiting area for car rental shuttle. It is across the pier. Linda and Jackie from cruise critic were waiting for their shuttle too. We chatted until our shuttle arrived Honolulu

. (Hope you got your luggage back). Another person was waiting for Alamo shuttle to go to the airport. DH told them that airport location does not pick up passengers from the pier. They said Alamo does and a shuttle just left. When we booked with Alamo; we were told that there's no shuttle that goes to the pier that's why we chose the Ala Moana site so that we can take the shuttle from the pier. Since we will be returning the car rental at the airport they're charging us extra. We will clarify this at the Alamo Car Rental office at the airport. We said good bye to Linda and Jackie.

The driver dropped us off at the Ala Moana garage. DH went inside to the rental office. We stayed and waited for so long.  When DH came back with the car he said there was a long line. We forgot we have our 4 luggage with us and it did not fit in the trunk. DH went back to get an upgrade. We got an SUV. We went straight to Ko Olina. We were booked at Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club. At the reception desk we were told that it was too early to check in and our room was not yet ready. But they gave us a key card so that we can go through the parking gate to the next tower where we will be staying at and drop off our luggage. The key also gave us access to use the facilities. We dropped off our luggage and backpacks with the concierge and went inside to the pool area to use the restroom. The place was beautiful. DD2 wants to play and swim in the pool right away. I told her when we come back she can swim in the pool.

We went to Kapolei to buy some groceries. DH saw Julie Z Restaurant, a Filipino Cuisine. I told him that this restaurant was on the list of restaurants recommended by fellow PEXer. We had lunch there. Forget about the ambience. The food was delicious. Even the kids, who are picky eaters loved it. We bought our groceries at Safeway. We applied for the store card to be eligible for their store savings which was a lot. Then we went back to Ko'Olina.
