 We took our chances and took the train to Paris. When we arrived in Paris, we were told at the train station that there is no train available to Rome that same day or the next day. Our only option was to fly. We went to an internet cafe for lunch and then started to look for airfares and they were too expensive. Then I remembered about the budget carriers that I've read in a travel book. We were able to booked a flight with Easy Jet. We stayed at the nearby Novotel for one night. The following day, we were at the airport early. Easy Jet has no assigned seats. We were able to get in first because we have small children.

We had to shed extra dollars to get there. Thank goodness for budget carrier.
