     We had breakfast at the Grand Pacific. Nobody wants to do anything special today. Everybody was contented to stay in the room. I was finishing to read my book so that I can leave it in the ship library. The rest of the family looked at the pictures that we took for the passed days. Then older DD decided to go to the kid's club. DS does not want to go. He just stayed in the room reading and playing with his ds. We had lunch at the Great Outdoors. We had liver steak and it was very good. DD was having fun in the kids club and refused to joined us for lunch. She had a late lunch in the Garden Cafe with DH. We canceled our dinner reservation in Cagney's Steakhouse. This restaurant always has a bad reviews in Cruise Critic and when we look at the ship's electronic reservation system outside Magenta it's not always full. So we end up having  dinner at the Grand Pacific and watch a show at the Stardust Theater afterward. After the show, the crew joined the casts on stage. The Cruise Director and the Captain delivered their own speeches. The Captain asked if we want to stay one more day, maybe go to Bermuda? Of course, everybody said YES Stardust Theater

 . Then he said, "It's good to know everybody wants to get me fired". We just laughed. He continued to say that, "It means we're having fun" and we really had fun.
     We're going back to NY. It means the vacation is over and the kids will go back to school and DH and I will go back to work. I guess nobody wants the vacation to end yet.
     We liked cruising with Norwegian Gem. The food was not really bad as what most of the people in cruise critic board said. We like the Freestyle way of cruising as long as you understand what it meant. According to the ship's daily's, it means lightened schedules and lessened restrictions so people can do their own thing where, when and with who you want. If you want dinner at a certain time in the main dining area or specialty restaurants you can make a reservation the day before by calling the reservation number or through your TV screen inside your cabin or visit some of the restaurants at a certain time. It will say so in the ship's newsletter once you're on-board. You may chose formal wear or not but no jeans in Grand Pacific after 5:00pm. Tank tops or shorts are not allowed in all dining area after 5:30pm except in the Garden Cafe that serves buffet (hmm, it rhymes). There are specialty restaurants with surcharges and they are as follows: Cagney's specializes in steak $25.00, La Cucina, Italian, $10, Le Bistro. French, $20.00, Orchid Garden, Asian, $15, Sushi Bar, $20.00, Teppenyaki (hibachi) $25. Kids are half price. The Blue Lagoon open 24 hours and the Great Outdoors open until 11:30pm. The main dining areas are Magenta and Grand Pacific. They're both very good but I find the service in Grand Pacific better. There's a lot of things to do: rock climbing wall - weather permitting, basketball/soccer, jogging/waling track, bowling ($5.00/game), casino, bingo, kid's club, Wii on a big screen, fitness center, golf, spa,  shows, night time parties, and a lot more. Make sure you pick up a ship's pocket guide upon check in. It's really very helpful in navigating the ship.
