sufers paradise wasn t a surferparadise... however you can get good wave and not too crowdy as you would expect.. particularly during the week and when it s big..

goodnightlife in surfers... the car race in october.. indie car.. if you are a group you can rent appartment-hotel with beach view for nada..

my favourite break... burleigh head... currimbin is nice... you have the reserve in currimbin and the national park in burleigh.. the bilabong and ripcurl at burleigh west worth to check.. in nerang you can get cheap billabong clothes from from the previous year or bit defect..

coolangata has to be check even if you would probably get zero wave at snaper... rainbow beach, greenmount are good beach. d bah is a swell magnet for smaller days.. worth to check when too crowdy is on the other side of the tweeds river... you will be surprised.. good surf.. small crowd.. the same with the beach breaks not as famous all the way down from south surfers paradise and coolangatta.. many beach along the highway

byron.. good place too chill out... not as busy as gold coast.. and laid back.. has however lost most of his hippie charm.. it s an busy backpackers area.. and add the brisbane, melbournian, sydney siders on holidays and weekend.. worth to check are the flight to coolangatta airport.. or ballina airpot.. you could be surprise how cheap is it.. carefull jet star charges a lot for surf boards...

ps ballina has mostly better surf than byron.. worth to check... north wall south wall..
