Brisbane. Many people don t like it.. particularly the travellers.. they just stop for a fiew days.. mostly because they arrive at the airport or bus station.. and just stay in the CDB...

So what about Brissie.. you can visit a couple of interesting museum, free internet at the library.. enjoy the botanic garden, roma park, south bank park annd swimming pool.. walk along the river.. enjoy the view, the zoo and the botanic garden at mont cootha.. university of queensland park isn t bad at all.. the XXXX brewery.. the Sunscopr stadium for rugby union and league games... the Gabba for footie and cricket.. basically there is much more than the CDB... every suburbs at many highlights..

you can diner good food from all over the world at Paddington, new farm, west end, go out at the fortitude valley.. enjoy the differents food and handycraft market check www.ourbrisbane.com. you can cook your good aussie meat at a public BBQ at southbank..

Brisbane is well known for its inhabitants.. some like me love them.. some see them as city people with farmer, country side maners.. however, they are less superficial than sydney siders.. and they still have a bit of this old school australian way of life which is disapiring anyway.. the queenslander house, up at sunrise.. go surfing, running.. the barbie..

and the weather.... the south east queensland has one of the best weather in oz.. year round.. not to hot, not to cold.. not to humid.. not enough rain.. and blue sky...

Brisbane is a good hub if you wanna surf, gold coast, sunny coast, byron area.. good place to start for diving and visiting the great barrier reef.. which start north of it and end on the tip of cape york..

just around brisbane you can do great 1 to 4 trips.. to touristic place like gold coast (avoid surfers.. go to coolangatta, burleigh, currimbin etc..), byron bay, sunshine coast, fraser island... but less famous sandy island like Morton island or Bribie, beachmer or the great North straddebroke island (good hike, beaches, snorkling, diving, surfing, swimming, fishing..) in spring you can go whale watching as well.. a good tip.. go sailing around the Morton Bay.. australian zoo in caloondra

You can go inland as well.. town like Toowamba and around.. Lamington national park, and many others..

enjoy brisbane..
