It's Friday. There's not much activity on a Friday in Dubai as its a weekend. Weekend starts from Friday in many Moslem world. Most of the shops were closed or opened only later in the afternoon after their Friday prayers. Officially its supposed to be our rest day, lazing around in the hotel and doing little activity (after such a whirlwind :) ).  But noooo....not me. I wanted to see more. There was only one official plan for the family and that was to go to Karama Market to see whats available in the afternoon. By now, we decided to stay put in Dubai and cancelled our earlier plan to Abu Dhabi. Frankly we were just too lazy to check out from the hotel.

After a hefty briyani breakfast :) (another reason why we stayed back...LOL) , I brought the boys for a swim at the roof top. Afterthat, since theres time, I went out to check out the Creek again for those areas not ventured earlier and took several scenic morning view shots of the creek.

We (my eldest and I, coz the rest of the gang were too lazy to venture out) proceeded to cross the Creek to Diera side again  this time for the Spice souk. The spices looked fresh and well presented. It was a great "smell, sights & sound" experience. There, we bumped into a group of "Hells Angel" or rather a Harley Davidson Riders of Dubai Chapter.

After a brief venture, we crossed back the Creek to go back to our Hotel for Friday prayer. By now, crossing the creek on an abra was like everyday routine. When its routine, the awe slowly dissipates. We again stopped by at our favourite Richmond Restaurant for takeaways of their sumptous mutton & chicken Briyani. By this time the restauranter knew us as one of their regulars. Yeah:) ....

At 4pm, not knowing what to expect, we took a taxi to Karama Market. It was a real surprise when the taxi driver could converse well in Bahasa (our national language). We had a geat conversation. He used to work in Malaysia and told us that food and weather are better in Malaysia while the money is good in Dubai. Well at least I come from a food heaven.....lol.

Karama was a well organized apparel,  fake goods market mostly imported from China, Thailand and other countries. We bought some T-shirts & perfumes here. By 6pm we left the market, headed back to our comfy hotel and did some groceries on the way.
