Hanging out on street corners!

After a breakfast at Marco's after to no surprise failing to find anywhere to eat we packed up and got the bus to Villcabamba.  On our way to the station the heavens opened and so we both made us of our poncho's looking like two teletubbies walking down the street -I can only wonder what the Ecuadorians must have thought of us! 

The bus journey was only an hour and a half so we had the afternoon to relax around the town and were delighted with the Belgian bakery that provided us with delicious afternoon treats of banana and chocolate bread.  That evening we enjoyed a great meal at the Secret Garden and polished off a curry each.  After retiring back to the hotel as town was deserted it was not long before the locals were out in the square partying with speakers blaring the bad Ecuadorians attempting karaoke until the small hours.
