Villanova Camp Begins

The second camp begins and this camp already has a more organised feel to it, which is more than I can say for ourselves as we managed to forget our pillows and lock ourselves out of the wrong room.  Garvo and Carly also get to make their first trip on an American school bus just like in the movies, big, bright and yellow to the local astro, nothing really eventful apart from the usual silly questions for campers, my best to date is 'do they sing in English in England?'

The Villanova girls that Dre coaches are extremely nice and all really good players and over the camp it is apparent what a contrast the American college system is to the English, a few of the girls on the team have scholarships which entitles them to a free education in return for playing hockey but all the girls on the team must sign a contract to say that they will only eat certain foods, not drink any alcohol and do whatever the coach asks of them.

They have to train every day usually about 3 hours minimum plus fitness training and so they live and breath hockey and are treated like proper athletes given all the best gear but once their 4 years of college are up then their is no league system for them to continue playing the sport but by this point most of their bodies are so injured from playing or they are sick to death of hockey.  Not really sure which is a better system?
