After a long drive down to Washington DC we were introduced to Homero's girlfriend Katlin who was so kind to provide us with a place to stay and a few nibbles to eat. A quick shower and change and we had a whistle stop tour of Georgetown and the University of Washington which for those of you who are interested is the oldest University in the States The town itself was littered with designer shops, posh places to wine and dine and basically show off how good damn rich you were, so you can imagine how well Garvo and I blended in. After avoiding stick thin ladies with their fake boobs and toy dogs we found a fantastic bar and after deliberating for a long time over the menu I settled for a Maryland crab cake and Garvo opted for the classic American burger, we knew we were in for a treat when they asked how he wanted his burger cooked (something I don't think that will ever come to fruition in McDonald's!) I am delighted to say that they did not let us down, the food was yummy a welcomed contrast to the rubbish food they served at camp.
