Ok, so we landed it was a quick little flight, not too much waiting around. Food on the flight was pretty good, some sort of beef concoction with rice and peppers. When we landed we had to get a cab, that in itself was exciting, I guess I should have brushed up on my spanish on the flight but I kinda got by. We were loaded into a huge old expedition type thing and taken to the hostel. The driver was kind of unsure of how to get to the hostelso he drove randomly so it was good that we had decided on a set fee. The fee if you wanna know, was 240 pesos, which is about 24 US dollars and the ride was about 45 mins. They have huge billboards everywhere and people and dogs and the smell, reminded me a lot of China. Brit wasn't too inpressed with it, but since it reminded me of China (even the smell) I wasn't too put off, because China (the girl beside me just showed me how to get an apostrophe, how exciting!) was fun.
Sleeping was pretty hard the bed was uncomfortable and the room was freakin freeeeezin! We had 3 wool blankets on the bed, I was sleeping with long pants and my fleece! the pillow was almost nothing (and I always sleep with 2 pillows)... I couldn{t wait for monring to come!
Morning came and so did mexican eggs.... scrambled eggs with salsa, but it tasted different then when I make it... that was served outdoors on the top of the hostel. We then left our stuff at the hostel and proceeded to walk around for 5.5 hours. We went to the major park, checked out the zoo, got some blisters (my feet are killin me!). On the way back to the hostel we stopped for some food and the olbligatory Corona. Went back to the hostel, checked out the tv for a bit (so fuzzy you can't see the picture) and got a cab to the airport. We hung out at the airport for about 5.5 hours too.... yuck yuck yuck oh well... we couldn't stay at the hostel and didn't wanna venture out too far. Then we boarded the plane to Lima...
