I was up at 8:30 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep.  My bed was right up against the window so I opened the blinds and looked out while I laid in bed.  Today was our last theme park day and our second to last full day in Orlando, so I wanted to take in the view from my window as much as possible.  When I look out my window at home I see a bunch of small concrete backyards with sheds and pools, not a lake and palm trees.  I was definitely going to miss that view!  When I lookeded out I saw new people arriving.  After being there for so long we came accustomed to seeing different people coming and going, and we got used to recognizing the different cars.  I hadn't seen this car before, or the people, so I knew they were new.  I was so ridiculously jealous that they were just arriving for the fun vacation ahead of them while we were leaving in two days!  We had been here for four weeks...where had those weeks gone?!  I already couldn't wait to start planning another trip to the area.

Looking out at the resort so early in the morning reminded me of how much I love mornings in Orlando.  I remembered my trip in 2001 when we were all out the door and on our way to a park by 8:00 each morning.  It's actually kind of chilly out that early in the morning and I love how the air is all balmy and dewy.  It really is beautiful out there in the morning and I kind of started to regret not getting up and out early on any day during our vacation.  I love to sleep, though.  A lot.  So maybe next time.  I read in bed until 10:30 and then I took a shower and got ready.  I was done by 11:30 and I headed downstairs to see what was going on.  Mom and dad were out so I called mom's cell phone and they were at the World of Denim.  We don't have anything like that around here, just individual stores like Guess and department stores like Macy's and Sears, so I wished I would have gone with them.  I didn't really need jeans or anything, though, so it was no big deal.  I had a waffle and chocolate milk for breakfast and watched "Behind the Music: The Backstreet Boys" on VH1.  Behind the Music is usually on all old bands from the seventies and eighties, so for the Backstreet Boys to be considered old, or classic, is pretty scary!

Mom and dad were home by 12:30, and I went up to my room to work on my trip report notes for yesterday and that morning, and then I again organized our souvenirs.  I just liked looking at everything I had bought!  Mike woke up at 12:45 and we were ready to go by 1:30.  We hung out in the living room watching TV and taking pictures and all was fine, until all of a sudden my stomach started cramping up really, really bad.  I could hardly stand up straight.  I went back upstairs to lay in bed for a while and then came back down at 2:00.  I felt bad that everyone had to just sit around instead of going to Universal Studios so I told them to go without me.  They didn't want to leave me, though, so we waited a half hour more until I started to feel better.  I still wasn't 100%, but we left for Universal Studios anyway and were at the resort in no time.  I still wasn't feeling great and was in a really, really bad mood.  On our last theme park day you'd think I would be making the most of it and having a great time, but I really wasn't feeling well.  Anyway, we wanted to get in time at both parks, so we headed over to Islands of Adventure first.

We still hadn't gotten on The Hulk so we headed over there.  I absolutely loved it in 2001, but with my stomach bothering me I just didn't feel like going on it this time.  Right when we made our way over to Marvel Superhero Island the skies opened up and it started pouring.  We all went over to one of the restaurants that had outdoor seating and stood around.  Eventually a family got up so we grabbed their table and just sat around for twenty minutes.  Before the ride reopened dad and Mike went over to the ride since they were starting to let people on line since most of the line is indoors.  When the rain finally stopped mom and I went to meet them on line just to all keep each other company, but the guy stopped us at the gate and said that we couldn't bring bags on.  We told him that we're just meeting people and not going on the ride and he told us to wait at the exit.  I was already in a bad mood and this guy wasn't helping!  No one else ever gave us a hard time about waiting on line with each other when we weren't going on the ride.  Whatever.  Mom and I went over to the main store at the Islands of Adventure entrance and looked around.  I was in the worst mood and wanted to leave, and then mom got pissed about me wanting to leave, and when dad and Mike met us we all were just going to leave.  I felt really bad, though, since everyone else wanted to be there and I knew that later on I would regret having left, so we stayed.

We walked around to Toon Lagoon and the next showing of Matt Hoffman's Crazy Freakin' Stunt Show was in ten minutes so we headed inside.  Is that not the greatest name of a show?!  Every time I saw it I laughed.  We got our seats and I passed the time by sulking and putting the one fan we had right in my face.  I was hot and not happy.  The show started after a few minutes and it was really good.  Short, but good.  I love extreme sports and BMX, and the guys were all HOT which kept me entertained, haha!

When the show was over we walked over to Jurassic Park and wanted to go on the River Adventure again, but the line was really long so we skipped it.  When we got over to the Lost Continent we decided to get an early dinner at Mytho's.  The first time we had eaten there it was delicious and we absolutely loved the atmosphere, so we wanted to try it one more time.  We were able to be seated right away and we again walked through the tunnels to the main dining room.  The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous.  There are so many little details to take in and things to find.  We were at first seated at a table but it was really small so we asked to be seated at a booth, and we moved over to a huge booth.  All of the booths are huge and could easily seat eight people.

We took our seats and looked over the menu.  Mom and I shared a lobster bisque soup, a Caesar salad and a sandwich, dad got a pork sandwich, and Mike got soup and a Caesar salad.  The portions here are absolutely huge and the food was unbelievably delicious, as usual.  I can 100% understand why Mytho's was rated the number one restaurant in any theme park in the world for the past three years.  With dad's 20% food discount the bill came to only $50, and it was $50 well spent.  And the restaurant helped to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!

When we were done eating we continued walking through the Lost Continent to Seuss Landing.  I love Seuss Landing!  Both Mike and I grew up on the books of Dr. Seuss and seeing all the stories brought to life is so surreal and a ton of fun.  We went into the candy store where mom filled a bag with a bunch of different candies - Twix, Three Musketeers, Butterfingers, etc.  They also had a machine where you could make your own tubes of powdered sugar candy which I used to love, so I had to get one.  I got a small tube that was about six inches long.  They had one that was THREE FEET long.  It was awesome!  We also took a picture with a statue of the Grinch, which was cute.  We then went over to the book store and looked around.  There were so many books that I wanted!  Mom bought a cute Cat in the Hat bookmark, and then we headed towards the front of the park.  We went into the Christmas Store and they had the nicest "I Love Lucy" ornaments.  I wanted to get one but they were pretty expensive so I passed.  At 6:00 we headed out of Island's Of Adventure and made our way over to Universal Studios.

We took the back walkway to Universal Studios, past the Hard Rock Cafe.  It was the first time we had been back there so we stopped to look at the menu.  It was the same menu as the New York City Hard Rock but cheaper.  We looked at the schedule of upcoming concerts and they had some awesome ones coming up.  Mike and I were both upset that we would't be in Orlando to see them.  We then headed over to Universal Studios.  I have no notes or pictures from this part of the trip and I really can't remember what we did.  I'm pretty sure we first just walked around and hung out.  Then we decided to go on The Mummy again.  Mom usually doesn't do thrill rides but she had already gone on Space Mountain, Dinosaur, and Test Track, so we figured she should try The Mummy.  We assured her that it wasn't that bad and she got on line with us.  The line was way shorter now than it was the first time, and we were on the ride within twenty five minutes.  Yea, Mom didn't like it.  I had forgotten how truly intense this ride was and how much it really throws you around.  Our ride photo came out hysterical!  We're all sitting up straight and smiling while mom's hunched over in the seat, sitting sideways and screaming!  I took a picture of the screen where our picture was being shown, but for some reason I can't find it now.  Then we went on ET again, which was as great as ever.  I love that ride!  We stayed at Universal Studios until around 8:30 before we decided to head out.

We walked around CityWalk and decided to check out some of the stores.  First we went into the Endangered Species store which had a lot of stuffed animals, t-shirts, mugs and other souvenirs with pictures of animals.  That kind of stuff isn't really my thing, but it was a cute store.  We then decided to stop at Cinnabon.  We all love Cinnabon's, especially Mike, so it was a welcomed stop.  Mike and I got one of the only two small tables in the shop while mom and dad went to get the food.  Mike and I each got a Cinnabon while mom and dad got CinnaStix to dip in the frosting.  Everything was delicious and it was fun sitting around listening to the music pulsing through CityWalk.

When we were done eating we were going to leave and head back to the condo, but we decided to take the escalator up to the second floor of CityWalk where more stores and clubs were located.  I don't think many people bother to go up there because it was pretty empty.  First we went into Dapy which had the funniest stuff.  It was like a smaller, trendier Spencer's Gifts, complete with everything you can put a Family Guy picture on, fart machines, South Park clocks and fake dog crap.  Then we went into Glow, which I love.  The store is completely dark and lit only which black lights, and everything in the store glows in the dark.  In 2001 one of the only two souvenirs I bought for myself was a pink glow-in-the-dark wig here which my friends and I had a ton of fun with!  They also had a lot of South Park and Family Guy souvenirs, which was funny.

When we left the stores we saw a cart selling light-up baseball caps and they had a Yankee one.  It was $20 and dad had to have it.  It's very cool... the logo lights up in blue and white.  A few months ago Mike went to a Yankee/Red Sox game and wore it, and it was a huge hit.  We're planning on getting another one on our next trip.  While we were waiting for dad to buy the hat they started playing "Believe" by Cher on the huge video screens and I started going crazy.  It completely redeemed my bad mood earlier in the day.  I LOVE Cher!  I grabbed the video camera and started video taping the screens with mom and Mike dancing.  It was absolutely hysterical and the video is the funniest thing to watch!  You see mom and Mike dancing with dad in his light-up hat in the background, and hear me screaming along with the song.  It was definitely one of the most fun nights we had in Orlando, and it was a great way for the vacation to come to a close.

We then started the long walk out of Universal Studios, and for the last time got on the people movers and sweated our way to the car.  Universal had treated us well, and given us lots of discounts, and I couldn't wait to get back.  We were back at the condo by 11:00, where we watched TV and hung out.  Mom packed up a lot of hers, dad's, and Mike's stuff, but I was exhausted and planned on doing it the next day.  I read in bed for a while before falling asleep at 2:00.
