We always try to make our way into Manhattan during the holiday season in order to check out the gorgeous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Yes, my dad works in Rockefeller Center and gets to see the tree all the time, but it's nice to make a day of it and really take in all that the city has to offer around the holidays.
On this day my mom, dad, Aunt Stacy, Alison and I decided to drive into Manhattan to check out the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, as well as a few other attractions and sites in the area. One thing I knew I wanted to do was finally get to see the World of Disney Store on 5th Avenue. Being a huge Disney fan, I had been wanting to go to the store for a while and what better day to go than on a day when Alison would be with us? The store wound up being huge and a ton of fun, with a lot of unique merchandise on offer alongside some of the more classic and traditional souvenirs. We also waited on line and had our picture taken with Cinderella!
Throughout the day we also quickly walked through the PACKED St. Patrick's Cathedral before seeing the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in all of it's glory. Rockefeller Center was full of Christmas cheer (and tourists) with the sound of Christmas carols filling the air, and costumed performers making balloon animals and creations for all of the children. It was a great day!
