Parts of today included
Early get up, of course, breakfast of college food, then a quick cross country trip to the Edinburgh Outlet Mall.
We could do this if we were ther at opening to get back for the very important Scavenger Hunt at 12:45pm. The drive was through green forest on mostly two lane roads. Fairly quick at 55mph (about 90 kmh) . We all got to shop for about two hours. Prices are very low for Australian dollar here. Most of the crew bought a little something. Quick return journey, staying to the right, we arrived back with a few minutes to spare. The team went on the scavenger hunt while Mr T did his job of editor of the newsletter. This meant I had to get a group of volunteers to write an article for the daily newspaper, edit that and desktop publish it. We ended up with journalists from many US states. Strangely, non of these students had a laptop or tablet and only one sent the article by texting. The rest wrote it on paper so MrT had to type it all up. This all took quite a few hours, but a good Australian product was produced, he made sure it had the Made in Australia logo on it.
Talking about winners... The Bossley crew took on the scavenger hunt and WON it. The required organization, cooperation, management, speed, agility and of course problem solving and lots of brains. Go Bossley!

MrsT and others were busy doing extra supervision duties.

Dinner at 5-6:00pm
Then the VARIETY SHOW. Teams are asked to bring a piece to entertain. We didnt quite make the cut off with our singing, but we did join the FPSPI choir as a result.

Students presented in the large auditorium, they were all excellent.  Our team had a choir practice earlier in the day also. They were the final act after the awards. The variety show was excellent, especially the New Zealnd team, no prizes for their "all black" effort, and the FPSPI Choir, with guest soloist Mr Robert Morey. Go Bossley!

In the evening their is a dance for the juniors and middle school and a separate dance for seniors. We got to supervise, just like a school dance.

Mr Parnaby on

Good to see that you are driving on the right (correct) side of the road. As advised in an earlier blog entry of mine. Bossley seems to be in the thick of things ... winners of the scavenger hunt eh ? Not sure what this implies but still a notch in the belt .. make sure that this win gets prominent mention in the newsletter. I've been following all of the links in the overviews given. Something for me to consider in the short term future. Last week, I undertook a little trip of my own ... I went to visit the Year 7 camp one night. I'm not sure who was having the better time ... the students or the teachers ? They ought to lock up Mr Burton ... he was causing havoc with everybody ... Mr Riddle wasn't far behind him. All are back now and had a "wow" of a time. Weather now quite wet ... I've just about finished my Year 7 reports ... also moved a few thoughts onto the "editor". Mr and Mrs T will have to explain that one. Now that the trip is coming to a close, best to start preparing what can be presented to us mere mortals that were left behind. Mrs Morey will at least be required to offer something at the next School Council and Community Support Group meetings (the Tuesday after you all arrive back).... perhaps Mr Kong could also assist ? Students to present to the school and to the teachers ... this will be a hoot !! Finally, Robert Morey a soloist ? Obviously he has been having lots of showers lately to practice !! Robert, given the weather, many of the Parramatta footy games were called off this weekend. I didn't get to watch my grandson (in the mighty Hills Under 6 side .. go the bulls !!). Tomorrow is the Monday long weekend. Going out tonight to a footy function ... the Moreys will explain ... a walk down memory lane ... I hope I can remember !!
