Off to get the bus.
After a day of rides, the crew of students decided to "setup" the adults for a ride on the classic Splash Mountain. Hoping we would all get wet. This is a roller coaster ride on water, with conveyor belts to take your canoe do seven to the highest spot and drop it like a stone to slowed by deeper water. Not surprisingly most people get wet. Though we are a little suspicious of helping hands with the water.
MrT was soaked, luckily with quick dry clothes. The others were taken to the cleaners as well. There was some discussion about where the blame lie, but the Bossley crew showed their strength in teamwork and had a common cry of
A trip back to the hotel to catch up on some admin and organize the next few days. Some time to gather our thoughts before we head back to Disneyland for the night time session. Students are keen to expand their understanding of physics, hydrodynamics and fluid dynamics further with re visits to Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain and others. The fireworks are on again at 9:30 tonight.
Today was the day for California, the Disney attraction opposite Disney world. We knew that this would holed enough interest for the day and finish with the spectacular world of color (sic). Our team of problem solvers have managed to complete tasks by dropping, rolling and loop the looping all over the park. It was busy here with people everywhere.
Big attractions are the Screamin' California roller coaster, the bugs life 4D (terrifying! For adults never mind small children). Muppets and Monsters are also great shows. If you want to be dropped out of the sky,t he tower of terror is I fine for that. Food has been good here with salads and picnics available. We have been so busy we have not yet been able to download / upload the photos... Will happen at Chicago.
Tonight will finish with the fireworks etc here about 10pm. A later start tomorrow, checkout about 10 am then 10:50 pickup for a 2pm flight to Chicago ... Pick up the big Hertz bus and head to our accommodations, we should be in about 9pm so it will be a late night. Chicago loop tour with the architecture foundation is next on Tuesday.
Our fpsp team seem to be having a good time, but work starts again tomorrow night. They have all been studying when they het back to hotel, but it will be focused over the next couple of days. We need to get Nelson in the best mind for the conference and competition. Everyone is looking forward to that.
