Hitch hiked from Thessaloniki to Athens with a Canadian girl I met couch surfing. Took us around 10hrs and 8 rides, but we got there in the end. Saw most of the east part of Greece, stopped in a few towns and cool trucks stops. Met a couple of crazy truck drivers.

Couch surfed with a nice couple in Athens, they took us out on the 2nd night for traditional Greek seafood which was delicious. We also drank a lot of Ouzo. The 3rd night we went for Souvlaki.

The Acropolis was cool, and actually most of Athens was quite nice to walk around. Markets, and Cafe's and Archeological sites. The weather was also good so I had no qualms.
