Where I stayed
Heathrow to Paddington Station. Out of the station right to the hotel. Pocaheidias is amazing! If it was up to me, we'd either be lost or using $400 worth of GPS.
Paddington Station is a little rough, but still the beautiful old architecture. On our way out, we went through a shopping area with a Sushi bar where the sushi rolls by on a conveyor. We will try to get video of it or check it out on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Efmd6XnwQ10).
After check in, we unpacked in our "cabin"
After unpacking, we went for a walk and dinner. We headed for an area Heidi found on the Internet called "Little Venice": a canal complete with long boats (although no gondolas). It's very nice. We found a great little restaurant, The Summerhouse on the Waterway. Known for its seafood, I ordered steak. Everything was good and we enjoyed a pitcher of Pimms lemonade. Pimms, we found out is a sloe gin and the lemonade was infused with berries, mint, limes, and cucumber.
We drifted back to the hotel, stopping by a market to buy some chocolate. (For my friends that like the dark, it was very subtle at first and then snuck up on your tongue.)
