13.01.09 :

As you understood, i'm now going to the Bahamas and Nassau will be my next stop. We left St Martin two days ago with a good and fair wind. We arrived really quickly on the British Virgin Islands : Anegada, virgin Gorda or Tortola... but we didin't stop. Neither with the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic.

I tried to convince the captain to stop by Puerto Plata in DR but he didn't want to and i twas really sadly that we passed before the shade of Pico Duarte, the highest mountain in the caribbean. So we sailed for 4 days and night non stop, easy task after the transat but not for everybody on board. On the way, on the sargasse sea, we saw some original stuff that don't occur often : a big sea turtle on the surface and a 2nd world war craft (DC-3), what a noise !!

Again, at 5 people on board, we have plenty of extra-time to spend, i do mine reading some very interresting books from Herman Hesse. There is something in these books which is special and i strongly advise the reading of  le loup des steppes  (sorry, don't know in English. The other occupation of everyone here is : cooking !! God, i'm eating like hell, like i never did, it's crazy...

And so on for the week
