I wish I knew where I was flying over. It looks like mountenous dessert…like the surroundings of Las Vegas, but we are not that far north. We are on our way to San Francisco. I am excited.

We spent the last two nights in Tampa. I’ll be honest…it was mostly because we wanted to see where Nick Carter grew up. Downtown was not that interesting. Channelside, which is the main part, was pretty small, and the aquarium was ok, but not amazing. KT got ill the night we arrived, which may have been triggered by allergies. I had gone to the shop0 to get some food, and when I got back she said she couldn’t breathe very well. I suggested getting out of the room in case she was allergic to something, because she was fine before that. So we went outside, and then to reception to ask about the room and if we could move. So we moved rooms. Our new room was warmer and closer to reception. I told KT to go to sleep and I would stay up for a while and keep an eye on her. I made sure she was cosy in bed and then I moved all of our stuff into the new room and took the old key back. KT didn’t go to sleep right away, but she seemed to get better. We both went to sleep after a while. The next day we went downtown, to the aquarium and to Ybor City, which is the historic part of town. We got tired really early, which was great because we had to get up at 4:00am this morning. We went to bed last night at 20:00.

So this is the second flight of the day, from Dallas, Texas to Frisco. I just watched a movie called ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ starring Julia Roberts. It is a spiritual movie about a woman who leaves everything behind and goes away for a year, to Italy, India and Bali. She wants to find herself and quiet the voices in her head. It was educational in a spiritual sense, and I am very much looking forward to some more spritual experiences. I love the US, but the rose tinted glasses are loosing their colour. I miss real cheese. The time I spent in Miami and Tampa felt rushed, but I felt no need to stay any longer. Maybe it’s the time of year, or because it is very cold in Florida at the moment…no one is on the beaches. Tampa was like a ghost town. Even a British girl wanted nothing more than to be wrapped in a duvet with a hot chocolate. I am looking forward to Australia, and everything there is to follow. I want to be by the beach, in the ocean and in the sun. Saying goodbye to America will be tough, but the real adventure hasn’t started yet. The real travelling is still to come. Meeting people. I want to spend some time alone as well, and learn some more about myself. I think the best way to find who you are is to take everything else out of the picture, strip everything else away until it is just you. Step away from everything that influences you, all the people that you have got used to being a certain way around, and all the familiar places and situations that bring out a certain side of you. Get away from all that, and into the new, the unfamiliar, and the unknown. That way it’s just you, and there’s no one influencing you. What ever comes out of you is purely yourself, from inside you, not a manifestation of what other people want you to be, or the person you have to be at work. It’s a beautiful feeling, to find out who you really are inside, without the conditioning of your surroundings.
