In the last 3 days I have eaten enough to feed a whole family in Africa for a week.  All you can eat buffets are NOT the way to stay slim.

So we woke up today and attempted to do our blogs, which failed.  Then we headed out to Disneys Hollywood Studios, asking at reception about the best was to get there.  We took the hotel shuttle, which was at 12 so we went to Ponderosa for the $3.99 all you can eat buffet.  Hollywood studios is nothing special.  We went on the Prince Caspain tour, which basically meant we stood in a dark room while they played us the trailor on 3 different screens at once.  Then we went on a behind the scenes tour type thing, which showed us how water explosions are filmed, and took us onto a set with explosions and water and stuff….that was pretty cool.  The only other thing we did was the Great Movie Ride.  There isn’t really much worth seeing there.  At 16:00 we had Thanksgiving diner at Hollywood and Vine.  It was lovely, and now I won’t need to eat again for a week.  It was traditional: Turkey, Beef, veggies…I tried a few American delicacies that I hadn’t had before like corn chowder, corn bread pie, harvest pudding, and something with pecans in it.  I was stuffed afterwards, and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to say that I am thankful for my amazing family, the fact that I am not starving (quite the contrary) and have grown up in a lovely home, had a great education and been given the best start in life that you could possibly ask for.  And also that I have nothing to do right now but travel the world, play in theme parks, lie around on beaches and eat lots of food.  Amen.

At 18:30 we watched Fantasmic which I thought was great, followed by the Osborne Family Christmas Lights, which were amazing as well.  Then we got the shuttle back home.  So that was today, an unusually short blog, because to be honest, MGM is pretty boring.  Island of Adventure tomorrow though!  Harry Potter and Duelling Dragons beware…
