Hi all, well we can now say that we've had our first mishap on our journey! We flew out of Auckland North Island New Zealand bound for Christchurch South Island New Zealand on Monday 1/05 at 09.00am(A supposed 1hr flight), we had a nice clear flight across the North Island with good views of Mount Taranaki volcano (Snow capped) and across the Abel Tasman peninsula and beaches of the South island. The cloud started to get a bit thicker but we could still see the snow capped mountains above broken clouds. We reached Christchurch and went out over the sea for a landing (It was still clear at this time) then when we were about 20ft above the runway we hit a wall of Fog! the pilot put the power back on and took off again for what we thought was a second attempt. Just then he came on the intercom and told us that he was returning to Auckland because the fog was too thick to land. So rewind the above in reverse and we landed back at Auckland in the brilliant sunshine for another tour of the Airport and baggage handling. We managed to get a return flight at 02.30pm so we didn't get to our accommodation in Christchurch until about 05.00pm. When we arrived unfortunately we had missed afternoon tea but they layed on a bottle of red wine and some Canopes instead (What a bummer!). The accommodation in Christchurch is beautiful a tradition old NZ house with fantastic furnishing and a first class restaurant.

We are off to the Southern Alps next to see the highest mountain in NZ Mount Cook (3764m)so John is very much looking forward to that. We have posted a couple of photos to keep you going until we get to the adventure playground of New Zealand Queenstown.

Bye Ava & John

Happy Birthday
Hi Ava and John,
Happy birthday you old ***. What is it like now you have reached 61? You don't look too bad for your age. Don't let the old boy have too much to drink tonight Ava he will only end up dribbiling. I know you might not see this on your birthday but enjoy all the same. How many photographs have you taken so far? We had our first run with tops off tonight and the blue bells are up. Mind you I would swap places any time!
Speak Soon.

Love Chris and Malc.

Happy birthday from the Bosses
Just because you're a million miles away doesn't mean that we've forgotten that it's your birthday John, (unless 5th May doesn't occour in NZ).

Seeing the message from Chris and Malc has made us wonder which end is dribbling? Ann says she can get some very nice snug fitting incontinence pads if it's from your nethers. Otherwise they'd fit in your mouth with a push!

By the way is NZ a haven for gay boys? I only ask because Lord of the RINGs was filmed there.

All the best to you both, continue to have a great time and HAPPY 51st BIRTHDAY John

Bob, Ann, Darren & Hayley

From one old dribbler to another
Thanks Malc, I new I could rely on you not to forget my age. You didn't say whether JR was out or not yet?.
I had a nice birthday surprise from Ava and I've got the photos to prove it! unfortunately I won't be able to load them from here (Villa Polennza, Hokitika, NZ)as they are not on broad band so you will have to wait until our next hotel to see the action shots !!!.
Love Ava & John

PS don't tell Ava I'm publishing the evidence!

Re: Happy birthday from the Bosses
No Bob we've seen the gay boys in Bangkok (Pat Pong), so far the only peolple we've met in NZ are expats, there's not so many real New Zealanders in the holiday resort towns, I think there looking after all the sheep and boy have we seen some sheep!

Hope all the family are well

Love Ava & John
