Rangitoto Island

Finally managed to escape the city for a while. I went on a hiking trip to Rangitoto Island which is 20 minutes away by ferry from Auckland. The weather changed a lot to say the bloody least, I think I took my coat on and off like 10 times (mainly rain). Rangitoto is a volcanic island that's only 600 years old and the trail takes you to the summit of the extinct volcano along with some old lava caves. Plenty of movies (of varying quality) that I'll try and upload as soon as possible. I also took some photos, though I seem to have forgotten how to take interesting pictures.
Last night I continued my exploration of asian cuisine and we went with some of the residents to have some taiwanese milk tea (which in esence is tea made with milk instead of water but served cold and with different flavours). I quite enjoyed it and it was pertty weird to go to a milk bar (they didn't offer much else). Apparently they have it fairly often over here so I guess I'll get to taste varieties other than the "classic with pearls" that I had last night.
