30 sleeps and counting

We've both got that constant butterflies in the tummy feeling.  When we booked in Feb this holiday seemed so far away and now it's only just over four weeks before we fly out.  We've spent the time well though and once Al's visa for Senegal arrives back from London (!) today we're down to reconfirming hotels and nothing to do but pack in a few weeks.

That Senegal visa.  Hint to Australians and Kiwis travelling to Senegal.  Give yourself plenty of time to arrange it and find someone with a five pound note if you intend to travel to Senegal.  The visa cost 3 pound 15 pence, cash only.  Costs anywhere upwards of about $85 to courier your passport, the application and the cash to the Senegal Embassy in London and then back again. Second hint - if you can't find a fiver but have the coins, tape them together because the couriers don't like having coins banging around in the satchel - thanks Skytrax for wrapping them in bubble wrap for us!

Yellow fever shots are booked for October 4 (my parent's 55th wedding anniversary). That's about it.  No photos for this entry, nothing to show...

ciao
