This morning we got up early for a bus to take us to the vatican - jimmy couldnt drive us due to an incident when driving through the gates at the campsite he hit two of the bus windows and the glass smashed everywhere lucky no one was hurt but we are without a bus for the day while he looks around for some perspex as there is no glass available in italy big enough. bit of drama - got some pics will upload later.
anyways so we caught a bus then 2 trains to the vatican, the tour was 35 euro which is about 45 dollars but once we saw the size of the line outside the vatican walls it was so worth it. lol and even more worth it when we saw the tour guide a new zealand guy called dave. he was SO good looking he didnt have to ask for our attention cos he had it straight away lol he looked alot like the lead singer from maroon 5 lol got a few pics and jo got him on video. lol definately worth 45 dollars. anyways the vatican was awesome i loved every minute it was so sereal being there and even in the square where the pope talks to the masses it was wierd cos ive seen it on tv and there i was standing there. the artwork was unbelievable too. we were in on a pretty quiet day if youd call it that lol coming for tassie it was pretty packed but dave reckoned you cant usually move your arms about so quiet it was lol. got some awesome pics wish id taken my video camera but never mind. then once that was over cat nathan brad and i caught a horse drawn carraige to the collesseum and split up there, cat and i managed to get lost and ended up on the wrong side of the city so we caught a taxi to the bus stop then ate some gelati and waited an hour for the next bus to the campsite. once there we chilled out for a bit had some lasange in the bar then off to bed for an early night. all fun and games but absolutely loving it. miss you all bec xx
