today we were dropped off at the louve and had the day to ourselves. cat and i did the lovue and checked out the mona lisa venus de milo and various others. quite unreal after all that waiting in line to go to the loo and thinking this is wierd in in a line for the loo in the louve lol.
took some pics of the pyrmid out the front then had a look at the babylon exhibition. went under the louve to the medevil museum - very errie under there. after that we went down the main shopping strip and bought some pressies and stuff. got some jewellery of course. we got a bit lost looking for the notre dame and when we finally found it the square out the front was packed with people and women asking for money. went to look at the saint chapelle which was built to house christs relics. the security was more strict than the airport for god sake lol
the inside of the church was awesome and i will upload some pics later,the jaw dropping glass and rooms just arent put to justice with pics so i did manage to get a small video. after that we headed for the tower, the bloody thing continued to mock us, just when you thought you were there there would be another 6 or 7 blocks to go and they are not at all like ours they are more like four times bigger than melborune city blocks lol. so by the time we made it to under the tower we were not really worried about climbing it to see the city cos we had just walked the bloody city of foot lol. we met up with the rest of the group for the picnic under the tower and the food was awesome some even ate snails but i didnt give it a go its bad enough to eat them but when they are covered in green looking garlic i just couldnt get myself to do it lol.
