Montreal

I ended up having a week in Montreal because it was quite a nice city to walk around. There's the old Montreal section, which I visited on the world's hottest day. Ok not really the hottest in the world, but there humidity was so bad that every 20 minutes of walking around outside I'd have to stop in a shop to enjoy a bit of airconditioning. It was like walking in an oven. Quite a nice area though.
I also enjoyed visiting the Olympic Park and the Biodome. The Biodome had 4 different types of American ecosystems in one building which was quite fascinating. Saw lots of animals including massive parrots, beavers, cute otters and spent quite a while looking for the sloth... where was that bloody animal?!
Also Montreal proved quite fun for shopping. Although my budget was limited I wandered around these giant underground shopping malls for ages. They have a large underground network because of the freezing conditions in winter but when the weather was 35 degrees, it was hard to imagine. More thumbnails ...
