We stopped here twice in our travels and thought we should give alittle glimpse into this pretty mining town. The architecture and building are all original, from the turn of the century. The streets are the same width as they were back then to accomodate the Camel trains that the miners used to use. This is the only place in Australia with working brothels, which share the same street as the backpacker hostels, and most pubs have 'skimpies' to serve you. Skimpies don't wear much as you may have guessed but they keep the miners comming back.
