The flight into Cusco was fine. However, i was in for a rude awakening with altitude change. Apparently, Cusco is about 11000 feet above sea level. I didnīt think about it because everyone was measuring it with meters. In all honestly, I wish we converted to the metric system. anyways i digress.
so basically i flew in and were greeted by some friends of friends, who are going to show us around. Unfortunately, they couldnīt show us too much on the first day cause I was spinning like a merry go round and my head felt like someone threw a rock at it. I was not happy. Turns out I needed a full day of rest and lots of Mate de Coca to alleviate the pain.
The next day, I felt a little better, but not much. We took off to check out Sacsaywaman, try say that three times. This place overlooks Cusco and it displays the works of Inca craftsmenship and mystery. Here, every year there is a celebration of the sun god and the people of the town give tribute to the sun god and for him to shine light upon them during the ceremony. The celebration is in July, so weīve missed it by almost 6 months. Nonetheless, these structures are awesome. I canīt believe how big some of these rocks are, check out the pictures.
The rest of day, I spent still recovering from this altitude sickness. Sipping mate de coca and taking some pills have helped. The Cusconians say that it should end after the 2nd day. I hope so.

WOW!
Keep scouting new land. Had a weird dream of all of us in a car. Mom was driving. and I think this is the last day we were going to see the old Kihei house. Mom tried to park in dad's old garage spot, but she was bad at it, so she drove all around the house to fit in that garage spot once more. She missed again and we all laughed. It was a sweet dream. Maybe I miss you already.
