Last Leg of Our Journey Home
Entry 32 of 34 | show all | print this entry |
We left our gate in Chicago very very late and had significant turbulence at times but otherwise, it was an uneventful flight to Charlotte. The captain came on the loudspeaker to announce that he was trying his best to get us there quickly. The late departure and weather had made that difficult but he was putting forth his best effort since the majority of passengers on board had connecting flights.
We landed and de-planed approximately 5 minutes before our connecting flight was supposed to take off. Luckily, the connecting flight was late, as were several others, and the gate was literally next to the one we had just flown into. We were boarding our connecting flight 20 minutes later and headed home for real now.
