Home Sweet Home
Entry 33 of 34 | show all | print this entry |
We arrived safely in Harrisburg, and Dad was waiting for us. Our luggage was again the last to come off the baggage claim belts. However, we were missing 3 boxes. We spoke with the USAir attendant, who sent us over to United. Luckily, they had 2 of the missing boxes, but the oddly-shaped one had gotten stuck in Charlotte, NC. It would arrive the following morning.
We went home after filling out the necessary paperwork (it took forever) and had "dinner" of mediocre Chinese take-out that Dad had purchased and set up at Grandpa and Grandma's house. It was nice to sit at a proper dining room table and eat. It was late. We had to work in the morning, but of course, when we arrived to our house, Mom wanted to unpack everything. We did so as quickly as possible and then hit the hay.
Good morning, Harrisburg. Goodbye, Vietnam. Wow, I will have to get used to speaking English again. Ha.
